VOLKER THOMSEN recently completed a successful term as the President and CEO of St. Lawrence College in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He is an outspoken advocate for progressive education, healthy sustainable living, and the use of appropriate technologies and renewables like wind, ground-source and solar. He has taken a leadership role in organizing the 2008 World Wind Energy Conference, and is actively involved in numerous organizations and projects to help move the green international agenda forward.
